Derek Fisher, who won five championships as a Laker, shared his takeaways from the debut of Andre Drummond with the Los Angeles Lakers. Even though the 27-year-old center played just 14 minutes, Fisher saw positive signs.
“Overall in terms of big picture, I think it was positive,” he said on Spectrum SportsNet. “Block shots, changes shots, like people are aware of his presence when they drive to the rim. Offensively he has some individual ability.
“You saw in a few plays his comfort level with catching and receiving the basketball from Dennis on pick and roll situations low push floater in the middle of the lane. And a willing passer which is important to be successful in this Lakers offense.”
