The Los Angeles Lakers bolstered their front court by adding Andre Drummond, who became a free agent after the Cleveland Cavaliers bought out his contract. After the win over the Orlando Magic Montrezl Harrell was asked if he talked with Drummond prior to him joining the reigning NBA champions.
“Well, I’m not gonna lie to you about that. I haven’t talked to him honestly, man,” the 27-year-old center said. “This is just more so coming from the reports and just from our GM Rob [Pelinka] speaking highly of him and his conversation with him, man. So just looking at things like that, man, you just see a guy who’s ready to go.
“And then just in general of me being a player and understanding his position, man. This guy’s been sitting for two and a half months where he hasn’t played the game that he loves and he’s able to call his job. I mean anybody would be eager to get back out there on the floor and be ready to get after it. Basically it’s one of those things just speaking from a player’s perspective.”
